Our History

Printing Services originated as a part of the Vocational Technology department in 1925, with the department moving to the Journalism Building (now Scoular Hall) in 1960, then to the University Services Building in 1985. The first offset presses were purchased in 1964, the first electronic prepress equipment was purchased in 1974.

Many years have passed and in that time we have continued to grow and expand. We are continually investing in our equipment capabilities, current technology and our staff.

Our commitment to providing the best quality services and products has allowed us to become a full service printing and mail services partner to the UNT community. We currently produce more than 35,000 projects per year, with the print operation producing over 5,000 projects per year, and the Eagle Images Digital Print Center producing over 30,000 projects per year. Approximately 85% of our total work volume is produced using digital equipment.
